As the days shift toward darkness and magical creatures appear on All Hallows’ Eve, these small porcelain wall pieces inhabit the boundary between reality and fantasy as we step into autumn.
The imagery draws from mythology and fairytales, with birds and animals appearing as familiars, guardians, and guides.
Each piece is slip-cast, finished with one of my original glazes, and produced in a limited edition. I apply the illustrations using a ceramic transfer process: each image is printed onto a thin film, transferred to the glazed porcelain, and permanently fired so that it melts into the glaze.
A removable brass plate hanger is included, ready to hang on its own or as part of a larger grouping.
Dimensions:
5.5" h, 3.5" w
